The Risk Appetite Index has dropped to 1%, and is at a practical minimum.

The willingness of investors to take risk has been falling and can’t get much lower. The Risk Appetite Index has dropped to 1%, and is at a practical minimum.

The index includes various measures of risk appetite, looking at market behavior like credit spreads, equity and foreign exchange volatility, gold prices and sector relative performance (such as between defensive sectors like utilities and economically sensitive sectors).
