A near-record whiplash in new highs: Across the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Russell 2000, and even the broader NYSE, more stocks are suddenly falling to 52-week lows than hitting 52-week highs. This has been a historically rapid switch, and does not bode well over shorter time frames. Such behavior tends to be a bull market phenomenon, however, so longer time frames showed mostly positive returns. |
