Gold has had quite a run, scoring its 37th new high in the past year. This streak ranks among the best of the past 50 years. After similar runs, gold tended to go for at least several weeks before peaking. While gold rallies always unnerve stock investors, these momentum bursts in gold did not consistently lead to negative stock returns.
