A Merry Christmas for index investors

Today marked only the 6th time in the S&P 500's history that it closed at a 52-week high on the session before the Christmas holiday. Investors were usually rewarded even further heading into the new year, but the rest of January was a struggle 4 out of 5 times. A very Merry Christmas to those celebrating!
